It has been 50 years since the plane of the Pope of Rome landed at Amman airport. today his Holiness Pope Francois positively responds to the invitation of His Majesty King Abdullah Ibn Al-Hussein. He will come to Jordan to mark the golden jubilee of the 1964 visit.
The Pope visit to our beloved Jordan at this time is crucial where the middle east and the region is passing through difficult times, our regional conflict is at crises level, war in Syria terrorist in Iraq political instability in Lebanon and Egypt, also some threaten to christian Palestinian from Jewish extremist.
on the other hand Jordan remain a safe heaven for many Arabs Christians and Muslim who have flee their homes searching for peace safety security further more justice, for it's iconic image of it peaceful condition prevailing among it's nation Muslim and christian together.
His holiness visit come to highlight that the middle east and the christian existence in the Levant is essential to it's community composition.
More over the meeting between his holiness Pope Francois and the Ecumenical Patriarch on may 25- 26 will commemorate the historic visit to their predecessor 50 year's ago that lunch a dialogue of ending the two churches schism in 1054.
Hoping that his holiness visit bring peace and stability more over prosperity to the region and to Jordan in particular.
